Why Withered Knight now?

The August 19 update improved movement on the first Greatsword light strike, increased chase distance on Opportunistic Thrust and Pursuit, added Super Armor to a fully charged heavy strike, reduced Parry and Breakthrough Charge cooldowns, and made Withering Mark faster while slowing enemies and reducing dodge distance.

How the Wither loop works

  1. Build Judgment with light attacks.
  2. Apply a Wither mark with the next hit, Withering Mark, or Radiant Retribution.
  3. Use heavy attacks and Execute to detonate for burst damage, Energy restoration, and cooldown reduction.
  4. Repeat before the opponent can reset.

Greatsword or Polearm and Shield?

For solo and duels, use Greatsword: it builds Judgment faster, hits harder on execution, and grants Parry while moving. Polearm and Shield is more defensive but fits a trio frontline better.
